Weekly Update!
This past week we instituted something new at our weekly service (we're always evolving!). Instead of my usual teaching, we had something that I call 'Roundtable'. It was refreshing to jump down from the pulpit, pull up a chair, and just chat a bit with our crew. We covered everything from upcoming events to exciting new elements that we will be implementing, and finished off with a Q&A. We will have these every few weeks.
Speaking of upcoming events, we have scheduled a massive Garage Sale for Sept 18Th. Everyone's excited and we will have all hands on deck to pull this off with great success. The funds will go toward our ministry growth needs. During the month of July, we are accepting donations for this BIG event, so if you would like to bless us with items that you know will sell, please leave a comment below this message, or you can email me at pastorfranklyn7@yahoo.com.
The first of our monthly Meet-Greet-Eat is scheduled for Friday, August 6Th. @ 7pm-8pm. You can contact me for the location. These will continue on the 1st Friday of each month! These meetings will give us the opportunity to meet new ministry friends as everyone MUST bring someone! We will enjoy good food from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, as our multicultural group will be going 'Pot Luck' style.
The first of our quarterly Food-Fun-Fellowship (f3) events will be in the month of December. We have not yet determined a working date so look out for the update! These are strictly for our 2hc family to let it all go and have fun! We will be visiting an exciting new venue each time; theme parks, water parks, theatres, cool restaurants...you get the idea!

Weekly Update!
Yesterday marked our 10Th week in existence as a gathering body, Praise God! We are continuing to strengthen with each passing week despite having a couple of families away for the summer.
Last Thursday I met with our faithful church family at our local YMCA to discuss plans for upcoming summer events. We also unveiled the blueprint for new monthly and quarterly activities here at 2HC. Stick around, it's going to be HUGE!
On Saturday we gave out free bottled water to folks on the streets and those who emerged from their cars in small shopping areas. We simply shared the gospel as they received the water from us. Jesus said if we drink from Him we will never thirst again! This was our message from a much simpler approach. We will continue this reaching out into our community each Saturday throughout the month of July, with an aim to win the lost to Christ and meet our new and undiscovered members.
Finally, this week I taught on prayer. Over the years I have made prayer my priority, not a religious exercise. The teaching was amAzing (if I must say so myself) and I thank God for it being so well received.

God is Good
Isn't God good? There is so much that we can be thankful for if we just stop and look.
When we committed our lives to Christ we put our trust in Him to save us; from ourselves and from the entrapment of sin set by the evil one. Hasn't Almighty God done a great job of it?
Now of course we live in a fallen world that is cursed by sin, so things do go wrong. But, God's grace carries us through all that we experience when we put our faith in Him.
David recognized the goodness of God and he wrote many songs about it. This is an excerpt of one of them, found in Psalm 13:5, 6 - "But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me."
When was the last time you sang to the Lord or told Him how good He is to you? He would love to hear it from your lips. The Bible also says that we ought to "tell of His goodness", not only to others but to God Himself.

Weekly Update!
Last night at the 2 was incredible! We got finished our 'Casting the vision' series which I have been teaching for the past 9 weeks. You don't want to miss what's cooking for next week!
I will be meeting with our core group 7pm tomorrow at our local YMCA (San Jose Blvd) to plan for a few upcoming events. Some of these events will include a monthly Meet, Greet, and Eat at each of our homes, a regular Food, Fun & Fellowship on the park, the instituting of two new meeting nights each week, and other important matters which I will update you on next week.

Weekly Update!
Last night at the 2 was INcredible!
I taught a message called His Horror for Our Healing, where I broke into Is. 53:4, 5. There wasn't a dry eye in the building as I described some of the details of the horrors our Savior suffered for our salvation and healing.
I described what we call 'The Cat of Nine Tails' which is actually a British term Christians use. It comes from a poorly made replica that feels like a feather in comparison! The real name of this torture tool is Flagrum. I explained that each of the nine leather tails had lead tips, each embedded with extremely sharp glass, teeth, and nails. It tore through our precious Lord leaving what can only be imagined as strips of ribbon. This tool was so deadly and torturous, it is said that a twelve year old girl could do irreparable damage to a man using it. The Roman soldiers known as Lictors would stand in pairs, one on each side of the victim, and take turns striking, ripping, and slicing into the back of the victim, who would often pass away before their prescribed beating was completed. Many of the ones that did not die right away would suffer disembowelment, or would lose a major organ or artery.
My friends, this is truly what Jesus suffered for us, and the amazing thing is that He knew what He was about to face but went along willingly anyway!
Today, let's ponder the magnitude of what Christ really suffered for us.
"Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed." - Is. 53:4, 5

Words of Jesus Week - Day 5
"And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive your trespasses.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses." - Mark 11:25, 26
Today's message deals with something common to all of us. We all have that someone who has wronged us and made us feel angry or disappointed. The last thing in the world we want to do is forgive them, because after all, it was their fault, right?
Well, hard as it may be, Jesus has given us a command that we must forgive them. Let's face it, God our heavenly Father has forgiven us for far worse things, right? And because of this, He says that we must forgive others in order to activate His forgiveness toward us! How much forgiveness must we extend to others? Luke 17:3, 4 explains that we must forgive as many times as we are wronged, even up to seven times in one day! This message is reaffirmed in Eph. 4:32. 2Cor. 2:10, 11 informs us that when we don't forgive, the devil has the opportunity to take advantage of us. He sees to it that this issue becomes a burden to us.
Friends, let today be the day you forgive that person or those people who have spoken or done something against you. When you do, God will immediately remove that burden from your shoulders, and extend His forgiveness toward you.
